The Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija (University of Rijeka) is one of Croatia’s leading higher education institutions dedicated to education and research in tourism, hospitality, and sustainable development.

Established in 1960, it is the country’s only university institution fully focused on management, innovation, and research in the tourism and hospitality sector, offering study programs from undergraduate to doctoral levels, as well as lifelong learning programs.

For more than six decades, the Faculty has built strong international cooperation, partnerships with industry and the local community, and actively participates in numerous scientific and professional projects and conferences.

Supported by a well-developed academic structure with several departments and chairs, and extensive experience in organising scientific conferences and events, the Faculty provides a stimulating and professional environment for hosting academic and professional gatherings and for the exchange of knowledge and new ideas in tourism and management.
