The international scientific - professional conference SITECON 2026: Shaping Inclusive Tourist Destinations & Societies will take place on 27 May 2026, immediately prior to the THI 2026 Congress, at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, University of Rijeka (Opatija, Croatia).

SITECON 2026 represents the final event of the SITE project, funded through the Interreg Italy–Croatia Programme 2021–2027, and provides a platform for knowledge exchange between academia and professional practice in the field of accessible and inclusive tourism. The conference focuses on accessibility and inclusion in tourism, a topic of growing social relevance and increasing regulatory importance, raising important questions for research, education, policy, and professional practice.

Participation in SITECON 2026 is free of charge for registered participants, with a limited number of available places. The official language of the conference is English.
