All submissions must be submitted using the THI 2026 submissions template. Authors may choose to submit either an Extended Abstract (1,000–1,500 words) or a Full Paper (4,000–6,000 words). Both types of submissions should follow the same general structure, with expectations adjusted for the level of detail.
Required Sections (for both submission types):
Title
Provide the title of the submission (completed or in-progress research). The title of the paper should be concise and informative.
The abstract
Should not exceed 200 words and must be structured under the following four sub-headings: Purpose, Methodology/Design/Approach, Findings, and Originality of the Research.
Keywords
Provide four to six keywords that reflect the principal topics of the paper and are suitable for indexing and online search purposes.
Introduction
Introduce the research problem, briefly review relevant literature, and outline the aims or expected contributions.
Methodology
Clearly explain the methodology. Extended abstracts should summarise the approach, while full papers should provide a more detailed account.
Results
For full papers: present and discuss the main findings. Tables and figures may be used (maximum of five combined).
For extended abstracts: results may be preliminary or indicative. This section is optional for work-in-progress submissions.
Conclusion
Summarise the key findings (or anticipated findings for developing research), highlight contributions, and note any limitations.
Acknowledgement (optional)
Identify funding sources or other acknowledgements, if applicable.
References
All submissions must follow APA 7th edition referencing style. References are not included in the word count.
Word Count Requirements
Extended Abstracts: 1,000–1,500 words (excluding abstract, figures, tables, and references).
Full Papers: 4,000–6,000 words (excluding abstract, figures, tables, and references).
Please include DOIs in your references where it is possible, the DOI number should appear as a link. The easiest way to retrieve DOI is to go to the following link: Simple Text Query form and register to Crossref. After registration go to the Simple Text Query form, copy and paste a reference or list of references into the search box. Select 'List all possible DOIs per reference*' to return multiple results and select Submit. This service is currently being offered free of charge to the public.
Figures, graphs and/or tables
Have to be inserted in their proper location in the text. They should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and given a suitable caption located in the upper left corner of the figure, graph or table (black and white).
Tables must be submitted as editable text, not as images.
All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings, with further opportunities for journal publication.
